Your giving to the FUGE Offering makes a huge difference in bringing the gospel to the people of East Asia. A portion of each dollar you give to the offering helps us send people like you to those who don't know the hope of Jesus.
"Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work. As it is written,
'He has distributed freely, he has given to the poor;
his righteousness endures forever.'"
(2 Corinthians 9:7-9 ESV)
FUGE Missions Offering
Each year at FUGE, students, leaders, and youth pastors are challenged to give in order to provide ministry funds for specific field needs with the International Mission Board. The 2017 missions offering provided funding for a large number of needs across the East Asia. These included:
- The printing and distribution of 500,000 gospel tracts by IMB personnel and local partners
- Marriage retreat for nearly 100 East Asia pastors and their wives
- Development of digital ministry tools that will help our local partners in their evangelism and discipleship efforts
- The funding of 20 ethnic Korean Hands On students serving for 6 months alongside IMB personnel in East Asia
This year, the Lord has prepared FUGE Mission Mobilizers to equip and encourage students to reach the nations by giving. Click the picture on the left to see what goal we have prayerfully set! We believe our God is limitless and know He will provide immeasurably and abundantly more for those serving in East Asia!
You can continue to give to other projects that are focused bringing the gospel to East Asian peoples. Learn more below.
Over 1000 students a year have partnered with us in reaching the people of East Asia, engaging students, young professionals, unreached cities, and multiple unreached people groups. Their ministries have led to thousands hearing and responding to the gospel. These student missionaries have been involved in evangelism and discipleship, while many have been a part of seeing new churches planted across the affinity. Funds provided will be used to train and send out student missionaries from around the world as they engage the lost, share the gospel, disciple new believers, and train leaders as we seek to see churches planted where East Asian people live.
One Family helps families of Nepal stay together by providing training and business opportunities and the hope of the gospel. This project provides fetal development, literacy and health care classes as a way to teach about the value that God places on life, as well as business training to help them create and develop long lasting businesses to support their families. These connections with families allow workers to speak into the lives of those who come and teach them about the one who created them, loves them, died for them and values them.
One Child helps meet the needs of orphans who are suffering from hunger and poverty and face developmental delays because of severe malnutrition. Meeting physical needs for food, clothing and shelter opens doors for the Gospel in one of the most difficult-to-access populations in the world. This unreached people group is extremely isolated from the outside world and opportunities for them to hear the Gospel are scarce.
One House provides wells of clean water, homes and livestock to the nomad population of Mongolia, opening the door to sharing the gospel and discipling new believers. This project allows workers to work alongside nomads and help with their daily tasks, as well as share their faith and lead discipleship lessons and worship services in the homes of nomads.
One Cup of Water
One Cup of Water works with national churches who have a burden to care for and share with people in the rural villages. Water filter distribution provides a means to access the village and share with them in the safety of their homes. Through your donation we will supply the filters and the training to go into villages to distribute the filters or lay water pipes if necessary. This will allow local churches to make long-term impact in rural communities throughout this region.
The bracelets sold in the Fuge Camp store are made by ethnic Tibetan women from the mountains of Eastern Nepal. The proceeds from the sale directly support the artisans as well as provide funding for the One Family project. The local business that we partner with is the first and only business owned and operated by women among their people group and has provided amazing opportunities for many women in their community. The owners taught themselves and their artisans the beautiful and intricate art of bead crochet and this skill has been the foundation of their business. You can continue to support them throughout the year by purchasing their products from our friends at Urban Dwellers.
